Are You A Productivity Junkie?

Posted by on

You only get 24 hours in the day

Too often when in “let’s be more productive mode”, the big picture can be missed. I’ve done this far too often myself. Part of taking fun seriously is knowing when it’s time to say no to over-productivity, and live in the moment. I’ve touched on this a little before, and will be touching on it again in the future.

But for now, enjoy this video that was sent recently to me. It hits home on a point that’s been on my mind for a while: Relationships matter most! Enjoy this video and laugh along with me at the “productivity hacks” that are shared in it.

Josh, nice short post, man. Speaking as a major lemon crusher who has pushed my work level to the max one too many times and squashed my creativity, I needed this one. I’ve been trying to recognize it when I get the glaze. You know, when you want to fall out of your chair because your computer monitor has sucked all the life out of you. I’m also trying to listen to my heart a little better (and keep notebooks nearby) and stop what I’m doing to doodle or write down creative ideas.

At the end of this short span called life, it is indeed relationships that matter the most (the one w/ God and the one’s w/ other souls roaming the planet). Have a great weekend. Hope you don’t mind but I threw a link to your site on my blog. Looking forward to more “serious fun.” Blessings…drew :-)

    Sweet! Thank you! :)

It’s tough to live in the moment. Or is it? I was at a campground today watching people sit in their RVs watching movies and TV, meanwhile they have one of the most beautiful lakes and gorges in New York state less than a mile from their campground.

I could go on a rant with this, but I need to save the energy for a future post :) Thanks for showing the link-love!

The sacarstic undertone is awe-some. I consider myself a productivity junkie, because I need to increase and increase. It’s an art to do it smartly, and I will master it ;)

It’s an art for sure! It seems like we have 2 speeds when it comes to productivity: on and off. Prioritize! Prioritize! Prioritize!

    Thanks for the comment,

By the way, I loved your video on the growth of your blog. Great stuff!

Excellent point made here. It’s all about the relationship. EX: Zappos I read the book recently and I’ve been learning more and more of how this company has become a billion dollar company. Don’t expect to get a voice recorded machine when you call them.

    Productivity is FOR MACHINES…I agree.

    Thanks Wilson!

More and more, it’s the unique, transparent relationships that matter. Not only in life (duh!) but now even in business.
