Everybody needs an Alice…

Posted by on

Ding-dong!

I love when the UPS/Fedex/DHL delivery guy comes to our house. I love it more when it’s something that I’ve either forgotten about or is a complete surprise when it arrives.

Every now and then I come across something that I think almost everyone could use. I’m going to start doing this more (endorsing products and services on my blog of course).

If you have not heard of Alice yet, here’s your chance.

In the land of home supplies, it is sometimes frustrating to push the cart up and down the aisle and follow a list. There are those pesky once-in-a-while items that need to be bought (ex: toilet paper, contact solution, laundry detergent, etc.) that can turn into dire emergencies if they’re forgotten. This is of course a husband speaking, and one who is married to a very organized and efficient wife. However, when groceries have been left to me (VERY rare), mistakes have been made. Not any more! Alice takes care of this with incredible accuracy, timing, and ease. I pretty much love this site, and the first day that a box was dropped off at our house, I was hooked.

Some highlights of using Alice:

  • F-R-E-E shipping (always)
  • Online list of your most commonly-bought items. That way when you log in, you can drag and drop what you need right into your cart, and be done within just a few seconds.
  • Email reminders for when you’re coming up on expected “resupply” (as I like to call them) dates. Always run out of T.P. every 6 weeks? Alice will remind you on week 4 that you’re in need of a paper reload. This is an extension of their “Product Planner” service.
  • FREE shipping!

There’s also a cool social aspect to the site, where you can see all your friends who are logged in at the same time. Except here, you won’t be jockeying to try and get your cart around theirs while they stare at a row of diapers for 20 minutes.

So…here’s my suggestion, plain and simple: throw away the list, hang up your car keys, and embrace the wonderful world of online shopping. Did I mention that the shipping is free? :)

See you in the virtual aisles…Thanks Alice!

Are you old enough to remember where the Alice moniker was conceived?
Or did you just have to watch old reruns?
    Just curious.

Perfect! Just what I was looking for. I hate shopping and this is a way for me to get out of doing it. Love the free shipping.

    Thanks for writing about it.

Cool concept. I’m going to show this to my uncle.
